Strawberry Season has Begun

If you've ever tasted local Willamette Valley strawberries, then you know that absolutely nothing can compare.  So sweet, they are just like candy.  We've had such a warm and dry spring here in the Willamette Valley that fresh local strawberries have been available since early May.  And strawberry season will continue strong through the rest of the summer.  We'll be serving them in one form or another most mornings here at the inn.  While you are in the area, you can pick up more to bring home from the many local farm stands.  And for an active break in the afternoon, try visiting one of the you-pick berry farms nearby, (try Smith Berry Barn or Baggenstos Farms) where you can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while filling your bucket with the ripest berries in the patch.
